Just a factoid to keep in mind:
Dow-Corning flatly states cured Silicone caulks/adhesives have 'no known solvent' so what the 'removal' products do is break the bond with hard surfaces silicone has slimed, err... the silicone has been applied to.
I just recycled 3/8" plate glass shelves that each had six feet of silicone residue from glued-on oak trim... only took 60 minutes each using a fresh razor blade and shaving the three sides at the glass edges down to bright shiny glass, so if you're getting more than one foot per ten minutes with a removal-product it sounds like a deal...
