Shortening a Globetrotter

I have a 1962 Globetrotter - project. i have considered shortening it by a few feet and making a custom "Bubble II" (16'). Anyone ever cut one down?

Welcome campercam,

Yes some have cut their rigs down in length for one reason or another. Though its not a GT here's a thread that will shed some light on the subject.

Let us know what you decide.

ahh! dont cut down the 62 GT. there are so few. the resale value will drop. its so tiny as is! have you camped in it yet?

BTW, funny that- your in bladen county right? we just bought land in kelly. we plan to move our 62 GT down there as soon as its finished the reno.

if i can suggest first giving it a try with a less desirable trailer - more of a junker - and make something that's no so desirable into something desirable. instead of risking something thats already desirable. Got pics??
