Running Lights

I replaced a running light lens recently and it ended up falling off during a trip. I guess the newer ones are a tad smaller than the originals. What's the best way to make sure the next lens doesn't fall off. I was thinking I could put a small dab of clear silicone in each corner. Click image for larger version

They're supposed to fit but I too have run into loose lenses.

The best thing to do IMO is use clear silicone in a bead on the top 60% of the lens, where it meets the base. There is a drain hole or slot (or should be) somewhere along the bottom or the bottom part of the side -- don't block it.
