Roof cleaning-roof
2015 FC stored outside under shade. Built up some mildew stains over winter. Anyone suggest best product/way to safely clean and then protect?

I wash my AS 2x each year. Spring wash normally starts with something like this going on in my head: there is light mildew on the white roof and AC. But that is too high up and no one will notice. As I wash the AS at the wash basin at the storage area I keep the AS at in winter, I realize I can reach almost to the middle of the roof if I stand on the top step of the ladder. So that is what I do. I haven't killed myself...yet. I am still too chicken to walk on my AS roof however.
I use GLARE car wash on the whole AS, including the roof. It cleans what is there...and next spring the mildew will be back. I am not sure of anything that will prevent mildew from coming back.
Good luck and be careful.

Have you ever tried the product, Wet and Forget, on the roof. Looks interesting.

Be careful, last time I was washing the top I fell and broke my back in to places! Dirty roof is bad but it can be worse.

I was up on my roof as well. Stay on the ribs, I have awnings that provide a tad more foot space than just the rail but I am very very careful when I am up there. I've also found using krud kutter and a long brush works prettily well.

I have an 8 foot step ladder. I wrap the legs with foam pipe insulation so I can lean it against my AS. I use a car washing brush on an extension pole. I have to move it 3 times on each side to fully clean the roof. I never walk on mine. I know many people don't worry about the roof being clean, but not me. I usually clean my roof each time I wash it. I also use 30 Second Outdoor Cleaner on the roof. Mix it in a a sprayer, spay it on, let it sit for a minute or two (I don't think 30 seconds is enough), and scrub it with a brush on an extension pole. Looks brand new each time and always takes the mildew off.

We just did our spring wash with an 8 foot ladder for the roof.
My husband washes one side of the roof at a time with his long reach.
I am planted on the ground holding the ladder.
No climbing up on the roof was needed.
With the thick layer of pollen and some winter mildew it took longer than the it did in the fall.
It was a yellow and green silver trailer prior to washing.

Blue Beacon Truck Wash when possible. In my driveway we use soft brush and Glare Car Wash but can't reach roof center safely on step ladder

Looks great. What did you use to wash it with? (cleanser?) And how do you keep it from spotting? Do you hand dry it too.

Turtle wax car wash by hand ,rinse without a sprayer. ( that helps spots ) Waxing I use mothers California Gold synthetic wax. ( easy on off and ultimate gloss in my opinion). Wash and wax 3-4 times a year by hand and trust me it sees a lot of dirt and gravel road miles so it gets dirty.
