Rock guard frame dent paint

Hi all,

First post after getting our first Airstream this weekend and quickly getting our first dent. We have been looking for a long time and finally pulled the trigger on a 2015 Flying Cloud 27FB. We love it!

I was towing with a borrowed big truck (still looking for one for us) that had a bed extend back too close to hitch so when I was backing and turning, I kissed the rock guard frame. It dented and scratched it a bit. Not happy but it was bound to happen. Photo came in sideways but you get the gist.

I am guessing I should paint this. Any suggestions? I am also guessing that trying to straighten this out would be pretty difficult?

Now time to buy my own truck so this doesn’t happen again!

Thanks!

It is aluminum. Don't know why you would paint it. Wear it as a badge of honor. Just be glad it wasn't the coach skin.

Hmmm. Oh yeah, aluminum doesn’t rust. I guess badge of honor (or warning) it is. Glad it wasn’t the glass either! Thanks for your help.
