Repairs in Houston
Hi All
Does anyone know of a quality repair shop (skin replacement) in the Houston area. I have used a place that did a good job but was looking for one that you guys can vouch for. I saw a post for a place but I am unable to locate it now.
thanks
James

Bob Jones RV did a great job for me, although I wasn't doing any skin replacement. I think several others here have also recommended them. Give them a call--if they can't help I bet they can recommend someone who can. 713-910-2949.

Bob Jones shop does great work.
The old man, "Bob" taught his sons how to do it right.
I taught Bob how to do it right, in 1970, and he never let me down.

I have been on the shop floor of Bob Jones RV when they were doing 2 complete gut job renovations.
They were doing an excellent job on these Airstreams. New floors and a couple of exterior skin panels had been replaced.
The shop is a little hard to find. It's in an industrial part of Pasadena and looks a little rough around the area.
Here is a link to a Google Map . Website: http://bobjonesrv.com/index.html

Houston Help
Hi Gang,
I'm in League City now in a "forced" relocation and Reno. Is this info for Bob still good? I need the plumbing up and running before I head to OKC for a month in Jan/Feb. Every thing else is good but I need to work and don't have the daytime to get new water lines run.
Thanks in advance.

Yea. I just got my trailer back from them and they did a great job and were very good to work with. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about Airstreams. If you need contact info send me a PM.

What did they do to solve your drain problem?

I've been trying to find the time to detail it out in that topic but haven't done it yet.
They actually don't know what they did that worked. They did blow out the vent pipe but did not notice any big chunks. They went through the entire system and found no other issues. But end result is that my problem seems to be solved. I've run quite a bit of water through it and it seems to be good. So we're assuming that they blew out some debris from the vent pipe Hoping to test it out more at Double Lake this weekend as long as my son starts feeling better.
Bob Jones also discovered that only the driver side brakes were working. There was a bad connection on the passenger side wiring. I just thought the trailer handled and braked good before.
Bob Jones also fixed a few other things for me. But spent most of the time trying to figure out the brakes.
Definitely recommend them if you need some work done.
