Remove Pantry Door

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to figure out how to remove the pantry door off it's slide rails. If there is a release tab I can not reach it. Also I tried to just give it a firm pull and it didn't seem like it's a pressure release.

I think I see a slide stop but for the life of me I can't figure out how to unscrew it.

Here is the pantry I am talking about

I am just trying to remove it to clean it, I was able to move the bottom basket and get my arm in there.

Thanks in advance.

Did you get an answer to this? I need to do the same thing. Something sticky dripped onto the floor :-)

I too find myself needing to remove the pantry slideout to make repairs to the door.

Did you figure out how to do this?

Thanks, Tom

Hi

All of the baskets come out. This thread is > 1 year old so the people involved are likely long gone. As far as I can see: Pull all the baskets, reach in, flip the release.

Remove baskets, then it takes a stubby Phillips and remove 4 screws holding slides to wall.

Is that what you ended up doing (pulling screws)? Mine won't close all the sudden, and seems to be sticking at the lower slides somewhere. Hopefully I just need to clean it and reassemble...

Pulling screws was the only way I could get mine out.

Hi

Spray lube on the tracks might be another alternative.

Did you check the latch at the bottom to see if the lever has flipped closed?

We have had a similar problem in our 2006. When you open our pantry you can watch it track from the left side of the opening to the right. When you close it the top left corner of the pantry door catches on the outside, pulling the laminate off that corner. I've looked inside for a release, pulled and lifted, several other things, but it won't come out.

I don't know if the track was installed incorrectly or the wood is warped (mine is a wood pantry, not wire rack like yours). I'd like to get it out to see if it can be fixed. I can't imagine that it would be installed by having to put the track screws in while the pantry is still attached. There has to be a release or method of lifting it out of the tracks.

thanks for all the help and suggestions. @sherrif1 had it. It turns out the latch on the back (inside) is one of those cheap plastic 'open' and 'closed' type things they use on some lower cabinet doors. I was able to get to it and 'open' the latch. Now it works fine.

Well Steve I tried your suggestion. I got a short phillips head andd tried the easiest screw to get to. I don't know how you put your screws in but I could not budge one of them.I can't even reach the ones in the back. I tried a screw I could get to with a bigger screw driver and barely*could get it out!!!!!!!! It was not one in the pantry. I am not the only one with this problem. With all the design engineers, at Aiirstream, I can hardly believe this design made it passed the trash can!!!! Maybe by the time the rust eats out the bottom track I could get it out but then I still have the upper track. This design is totally unacceptable!!!
