Remodelling company in Florida
Hi, does anyone know of a airstream remodeling company in Florida? Any help in what direction to point me would be very helpful. I'd like to have someone take a look at my airstream so that I can get an idea of remodeling cost.
Thanks
James

You could try Jason at The Trailer Company ( www.thetrailercompany.com), but don't expect it to be inexpensive, especially with the amount for frame/floor work you appear to need - probably close to the new cost of an equivalent trailer.

I picked up the trailer for $100 bucks. Figured an airstream was worth more than that. Just trying to decide where I go from here and see if it's worth remodeling.

It's definitely worth more than $100 scrape value. But most of the remodeling company's will give you the same starting point.....minimum $50K, and that would be reusing some original systems, $75-100K is more likely but really depends on what spec you want.

Yes, there is one in Panama City, Fla. I think it is called Hines Designs. Spelling may not be correct.

How handy are you, and how much time do you have. Your floor looks almost as bad as mine was when I got her. I did have a complete interior though. If you do it yourself, you can save a ton of money. You just need the skills, time, tools, and a place to work it...
But I still want the rock guard...

I have gotten quote for what you are needing from several places so I will tell you that you are looking at about 4,000. For frame off floor replacement. Then another 3,000 to 4,000. To polish out unit. You will spend between 12,000.00 to 15,000.00 to end up with a finished unit unless you are doing ALL of the interior work.

Yeah I'm looking to end up with a nice shell inside, frame work , floor, walls , new lights , and maybe a new ac / looking into running AC duct. I'm pretty sure I can do the inside myself, I'm just worried about the cost of frame work and flooring. Or if I'd have to remove the shell. Etc..

Remodeling company in Florida
Frankly, judging by the pictures, it looks like a sound trailer if a person can see beyond the condition of the floor....
That said, I will give you $500 for it right now..
I would invest about 20K of hard money and a lot of my own labor and do something like this to it...
1/2 Ton 4WD Truck, 72 Sovereign Hensley Arrow

I think that is the only way it is viable to rebuild.
Realistically the options are sell as is, part out, or spend $20K and a lot of you own time (after which the trailer will have a re-sale value around the investment - minus the time).
It's just not 'rare' enough, and being a new purchase I am assuming you don't have the emotional attachment, to spend a lot of money on it.
If you think you will get a company to remodel the whole thing for less than $50K, I take back my suggestion of ringing Jason - you would be wasting your time and his.

I'm willing to put a max budge of 10k , just not sure if that's enough for this project. But I'd love a trailer like that.

Martin thank you for all the help. Give me a better idea of where I stand. I'll going to keep looking into the cost factors and make a decision on what direction to take.
Red - you got first dibs on the rock guard. Lol
Thanks again everyone

You can get away with a 10 grand budget, but you'll have to do all the work yourself. I've got $7500 in mine right now, including new tires and axles, and a $2000 dollar purchase price... She's not completely finished, but is very livable. I've got nothing close to that thing Mr Morgan is showing there. Mines much more "standard"... I couldn't use mine if it was that purty.
Bathroom is going to be your biggest problem. Does the PO have any of the interior/bathroom/tanks etc. lying around somewhere?
-Red,
