Refrigerator issues Dometic RM2811

We just purchased a 1983 Airstream with a Dometic refrigerator.
When I try to run it on AC power it automatically switches to LP after a min or so.
I checked the fuses & heating element for voltage OK before it switches over.
And after disconnecting wires checked 44 Ohm through element Ok.
Is the main board NG or is there another sensor causing this issue?

Pete

You might have a GFI protected AC plug. check that it is not tripped. If it trips you have no AC power to fridge. This could be the heating element (calrod) shorting to its outside case causing the GFI circuit to activate. Replace the calrod. I had the same problem.

Addendum:

The resistance of the calrod will appear normal between the two leads and infinity between leads and calrod case until it heats up which will cause a voltage and current case to ground activating the GFI circuit.
