Refrgerator fan

Have small Dometic fridge in 22' CCD. Fan runs continually and noisy enough to be heard. Is this normal? Also, switch is pointed toward electric but the red line in the little bubble still indicates propane...what gives?

YES many threads about this, including adding a switch and changing to computer fans.

There should be 3 settings:
off
propane
electric/auto
In electric/auto if the fridge is not getting 120V it will automatically switch to propane. Check and make sure your fridge is getting 120V, it is plugged into an outlet in the vent/compartment behind the fridge. Some people unplug the fridge when they store the trailer.

I use a 4" computer fan wired with a manual switch and a furnace thermal "on" switch, all in series. The thermal switch, IIRC, closes at 120* and I have it inserted under the insulation against the chimney. In cool weather it will turn on and off automatically...or I can manually shut it off with the toggle switch.
