range / stove hood vent

The flap has come off of the stove vent that exhausts air from the range hood. It seems to be some kind of heavy tape and there are two of the flaps. An outer and an inner. The inside one is still intact because it is riveted on as you can see with the blue tape but I'm wondering what can be used on the outer one knowing that it needs to be flexible enough to allow the flap to move open and closed but also durable and not dry out like duct tape would do?

A brand-new outer vent is less than $15, I'd probably simply replace it, rather than improvise something.

I bought one from ODM. Takes less than half hour to install, an easy DIY project.

This vent is available in gray/silver, white, or $tainless $teel.

ps:
When I'm in FL, I mail order from ODM. They usually ship the same business day if I order in the morning and I receive 3-4 days later. Shipping normally cost me less than driving to the nearest place I can purchase.
