Ran into my first dilema...

So I'm taking all the trim, banana wraps, and side wraps off when I noticed something odd. Street side wrap is sandwiched between the side panel and the C-channel on the floor. The curb side isn't a separate piece at all. It's just a continuation of the side panel wrapping down and under. Actually, that's easier to deal with as far as less rivets to drill out, but will now get in the way when I lift the shell.

Chris,
I'm not familiar with the construction of your 1970 trailer, but I'll bet that someone has a good recommendation. Can you post a picture or two? Also, what are you trying to accomplish with the work you are currently doing?

Welcome to the forum!

Steve

Having a hard time uploading a photo. It won't take the URL I'm pasting. Anyway, I'm getting ready to lift the shell off the frame. I was gonna do it with jacks from below to that's why the wraps are now in the way. I guess I could just cut it off at the trim piece and rivet it back on late like the other side.

Duh! Thanks for the link reinergirl!

Here's what I'm talking about. The other side's side panels stop at the trim. I ended up cutting these because I'm gonna lift the shell and need to slide supports under the walls.
