Questions regarding 1963 19' Globetrotter Battery Location/etc

All,

I have owned a few vintage Airstream's and all of them were complete in terms of wiring/battery/inverter.

*Just purchased a 1963 19' Globetrotter that we will slowly restore.

I do have a couple of important questions - Where is the original location of the battery? and was there a fuse panel and if so where is location of fuse panel?

Our Globetrotter does not have rear compartment door above rear bumper and looks like perhaps battery was located on hitch tongue behind propane tanks?.....I see a couple of small wire leads in this area and guessing it could be battery location

Thx in advance!

The original battery location should be behind the curb wheel well. Wires on the tongue, well, probably was for the breakaway switch. No fuse block, just one big daisy chained mess of wires.

Thank you very much - Just yesterday I finally got the time to start exploring the GT and used my battery jumper to hook up the blue(POS) and yellow(NEG) leads that are hanging in the small compartment behind the curbside wheel well.
Once connected the bathroom light came on! Have lots of bulbs to replace and need a new water pump but both 12V and 110AC are working fine - Very happy I won't need to dissect any walls
