Purple wire 30fb

So we brought our trailer home looked under the drawers by the bunk and found a purple wire that is disconnected. Anyone know what it is for?

Not sure where it goes, but looks like it goes to that butt connector that was crimped poorly.

This is a pre-wire for addition of a 12V accessory.

My 25 FC FB had two that I found--one under the bed (purple wire) which I used to add a combo 12V & USB outlet and one behind the panel where the bedroom TV would go. I'm guessing there's a third near the entry door since my trailer doesn't have the over-the-door porch light like the International Serenity does.

My guess is that Airstream makes one wiring loom for a particular length and floor plan regardless of model. If the trailer you buy doesn't come equipped with a particular item--like the over-the-door porch light--you still have the wire where that accessory would be wired in.

Just think what you can add to your Airstream!
