While I don't profess to be an expert, I did watch how they set up my hitch at the AS factory.
First, measure the distance between to road to the inside lip of the rear fender and again the same for the front fender - thus RH1 (rear height) and FH1 (front height)
Hitch up and repeat these measures. - Is the difference the same between front & rear measures - i.e., what is RH1-RH2 and RFH1-FH2. The chains should be tightened to the extent that the differences are the same i.e., RH1-RH2=FH1-FH2. That shows that the hitch weight of the trailer has been equally distributed to both the front and rear axles of the TV. In my case, there was another adjustment having to do with the Reese cam-type anti-sway.
