Yeah, I didn't know that either. There was a good reason to put them in in the first place, too - my B190 didn't have one, nor does my parents' late-80s Airstream. I'm glad my '95 has one - I often will turn off the converter when we're in bright sun to let the solar system charge the batteries.

Ideally, they should either have the switch or have a good three stage converter...
