Planning ahead

Currently replacing rotted front flooring on our 22' 1968 Safari and looking forward to camping season. SWMBO wants air conditioning (who needs AC in the Midwest in the summer time?). For planning purposes what would it cost at a dealer to have AC installed? Just trying to determine how deep our pockets have to be.

Thanks - Steve

Not sure where in the midwest you are ,but on I44 at the Carthage exit west of Springfield mo. Is close RV . I have bought several ,AC units from them. They also install. If you are near them now give them a call. They buy them by the truckload from all the diff manufacturers and they do pass on the savings. Bought a 1500 BTU domestic 2 yrs ago for 499 . That's new in the box with warranty.
