Places / Where to buy parts for Vintage Airstreams

Hi All, Lets start a thread on where to find parts to fix up Airstreams for any newbies or those previously experienced but just plain lost on where to find that one particular item.

Most of us know of Vintage trailer Supply at Vintage Trailer Supply - parts and supplies for vintage travel trailers and campers! and Inland RV at Inland RV Center - The Nations Leading Expert in Airstream Innovations as necessary resources. But what else is out there, who are the other major suppliers and most importantly who's the little guy that you found that one odd ball item or service that no one else stocked or did but they saved your butt because they had it or did it...

I've personally have used the two above but I've also used:

Aircraft Spruce Canada for polishing supplies like nuvite and Cyclo Pilot Supplies and Aircraft Parts from Aircraft Spruce Canada

Aircraft Spruce USA for those south of the border Pilot Supplies and Aircraft Parts from Aircraft Spruce

Harbor Freight Tools – Quality Tools at Discount Prices Since 1977 for cheap variable speed polishers for the first cut before using the Cyclo when polishing

I would add Out of Doors Mart to your list, while the website isn't the best, they have a ton of Airstream parts, and I order from them all the time.

Out-of-Doors Mart MORE Airstream Parts on-line than anyone!!! And we accept PayPal.

It seems to me the parts that are unique to Airstream are mainly the body parts: skins, windows, doors, trim, emblems. The interior has various molded plastic and fiberglass parts that are unique to Airstream and harder to come by.

But many, many parts are common in the trailer and RV industry: axles, brakes, wheels, appliances, plumbing, electrical, propane, etc.

And with the wonderful internet, a person can find multiple sources for almost anything pretty darn quick!

wow, I'd never heard of these guys before, but they seem to have some good stuff on their site. They have a selection of used parts including lots of complete doors and door locks as well as selection of reproduction items including Zip Dee vent covers & Lots of Herh window seals, gaskets and glazing strips to.

I have used Silver Trailer Supply before with satisfactory results. They have moved from Washington state to Salt Lake City, and they changed their name some. I need some old style belt line molding and they do carry it.

+1 for Silver Trailer Supply. I've done business with them a couple times - with great results.
