Peeling paint

Has anyone had problems with the paint peeling from the exterior access doors for the refridgerator? If so, has Airstream rectified the issue? Our 2011 Sport had white access doors that Airstream painted grey and the paint is peeling off. I know some plastics are very difficult to paint and perhaps they should have just left them white or used ones that are made from grey plastic like the propane tank cover.

Mine has an odd appearance in the sunlight. I wouldn't call it peeling, but rather thousands of small cracks or crazing. I figure if it gets worse, I'll strip and re-clear.
