Parts Suppliers for 1965 Airstream Overlander 26'
can anyone provide me some good websites or names of parts suppliers that deal in OE Airstream parts for a vintage airstream. I purchased my 1965 Airstream Overlander yesterday and want to start working on it.
My 1st project is the toilet and tanks.

Check out Vintage Trailer Supply and Inland. They seem to have the most parts for vintage Airstreams.

Vintagetrailersupply.com Be prepared though. I have a 64, and have updated all my supply lines from copper to pex. Haven't gotten to the toilet yet. They can be rebuilt... but it's not like you can just order parts. VTS has many things, and some more can be obtained from the RV dealer in California - but his prices are really high for some things.
Make sure you consider your axles. My 64 needed new axles. Just driving it caused the rivets inside to shear off due to the rough ride.

Not all parts are Airstream specific. For example, the toilet is generic and holding tanks can be purchased from many sources.

Plastic tanks, maybe.
Fiberglass tanks, a rarity, but available for some older models.

Here's Vintage Airstream Archives, an old site that pre-dates the airforums.
