Parting Out Airstream?

Is there any significant value in parting out an Airstream.

Over the past few years I've seen trailers for sale that were probably beyond repair, with significant damage to the shell and frame, and I've always wondered if it would be worth while parting out a trailer.

When I was restoring my Mustang I actually made money on several parts cars. Turns out some cars are worth more dead than alive!

What parts are salvageable or valuable?

I have advertised good condition cabinets and stuff like that for a 77 excella. Aside from a few nibbles here and there its kinda tough to sell. I'm in Los Angeles. Windows, doors end panels in good condition, awnings, tanks and other stuff might go a lot faster and for the most money

post what you have , with pictures ( we love pictures) and maybe how much you are looking to get, money wise. I have a 2003 Classic and I need stuff like closers to the cabinets, and the holders for the drawers under the bench seats. I don't need big stuff but I know of others who do. There is always people who need awnings and rods.
Remember, the buyer pays shipping.
The fact you live on this side of the boarder, makes it better for those of us who hate paying duty on stuff.

Just to clarify, by "post", I'm sure mac means "write up some ads" with good, big enough, clear well-lit photos, and see what you get.

The only selling place on the Forums is the Classified section, available through the big white link under the "S" in FORUMS up at the top left of most pages.

I notice that people who put up ads with good clear photos (not just ones taken by cell phones) get the most response. And put a price, "Best Offer" is just a waste of time, IMHO.

Good luck selling!
