Pairing back up camera

Having an issue pairing backup camera on 2019 Classic 33 with the monitor. Camera was factory installed—pairing is initiated on monitor without success. Any thoughts.

Are your parking lights on? The camera gets its power from the parking light circuit.

Ditto. For mine to pair I have to have my lights on. It will work. Nice feature to have while traveling.

You need to have your running lights on.

If having your running lights ON are still a no go. Move the display closer for the initial pairing. I've noticed, some environments have a lot of interference.

On mine it’s critical that I first plug in the monitor, once it is on, then I turn on my parking lights, I have to go in that order or it won’t connect. Good luck!

On my old '17 Classic, I turn on Monitor, Press the Pair button, then turn on running lights, holding the Pair button until the camera paints to the Monitor. Just happens to be the procedure from the manual. Gets the best pair signal strength that way. At delivery, the guy said just plug it in and turn on, it will work automatically. It does, most times, but with a weaker signal.

The camera on the AS is not on while underway?
Seems like a waste of a good camera. 🥴

Mine is on underway, I don't drive without it; just have to keep the lights on.

Lights can not be on auto. Has to on direct lights. Took awhile to figure that out.

All depends on how the camera has been wired. Most tap into the clearance lights on the Airstream. If in fact done in that manner, clearance/running lists must be on therefore lights on TV have to be on. Some have wired in different manners allowing it to operate without having TV lights on.
