Oven help needed

I need to remove the Tappan range in my 63 Globetrotter to repair the thermocouple and to replace the pilot assembly for the oven . They were damaged on a trip when I forgot to secure the broiler pan. Any tricks to getting it out since Airstream did not install it according the manual with 4 screws through the bottom. I can see 2 screws ,one on each side just inside the oven door but I figure they had to use more.

Any help on finding parts would also be appreciated.

May be a mercury flame sensor

While I don't know your particular unit my 77 magic chef uses a mercury flame sensor. These can be confused with thermocouples as they look similar and performed the same function. Mercury flame sensors contain mercury and a decent amount of it) that heats up if there is a lit pilot and causes the main gas valve to open up. If your unit was damaged, the mercury may have leaked out Mercury fumes are a significant health hazard. A google image search provides a fair amount of examples of MFS's although mine was a bit harder to find. If the mercury leaked out you have a real problem. I'm not sure what to do if it has, but I would not want to be in the trailer.

Liquid mercury is hazardous, but not as bad as some of the compounds.

Flame sensor not involved.

What I need to actually replace is the gas line to the standing pilot and the gas supply line to the oven burner. The flame sensor line was not damaged thus no mercury issue. Thermocouple is a slip of the brain. now the issue is where do I come up with the lines or do I replace the oven .

That's a challenge for sure. Mine are aluminum, I don't know why aluminum was used. The issue is finding acceptable replacement tubing if the part itself is not available. If the damage caused by the broiler pan was a small cut or wear point aluminum solder may work to repair it. There is just the slightest amount of pressure in the tube so I thing an aluminum solder repair would work unless it was right next to the flame.

Problem solved

Finally got around to solving the problem , I installed a new oven/stove. the old one went to the appliance recycling center and any mercury issue will be properly taken care of.
