Odor after linoleum replace on 2017 Airstream
recently had some warranty repairs done to fix a water leak under the linoleum. They had to take everything out , fix the leak and lay down new linoleum. When it was picked up there was a Foul odor that smelled really unpleasant. It was kind of subtle but you definitely notice it. Was concerned a rodent had died in the unit while it was being repaired because there was some cold weather. The tech scoped it out and found no animal related material.
took it back and they replaced the vent under the sink that could have caused a smell in the unit. supposed to pick it up in a few days and am nervous about this odor. hope maybe the vent wasn’t put back together right in the first repair.
Any other suggestions from the forum appreciated.

Have you emptied the holding tanks? Hopefully you had proper chemicals in both tanks, in case some of the workers used the toilet etc.?

Leave a couple of windows cracked open if you can, for cross-ventilation, and see if the odor dissipates after a week or so. Some of the flooring adhesives can off-gas for a while. I would ask the dealer what adhesive they used, then do an Internet search for that product. Hopefully you will not find bad reviews about odors after installation!
If you have shore power, you might consider leaving a small electric heater on low 24/7, to accelerate the evaporation of any volatile components of the adhesive.
Then close the AS up tight, and wait a week to see if the odor returns. Animal smells would get worse of course.
Good luck!

Will definitely do this if the odor is still there. tried your other suggestions regarding venting it out for a week. Didn’t work. Space heater idea will try also.
might add that during the disassembly that took place to replace the vinyl floor it’s quite possible some type of vent was not reinstalled so am hopeful that the vent replacement caught it.

We had warranty work performed within weeks after our new purchase following a 3-day shakedown cruise to prep for a 3 month trip. When I picked up the AS 3 weeks later and got it back home I was very annoyed to discover the workers had completely filled up our black tank. Since we were leaving the following day this presented a last minute unexpected problem for us then newbies. This was our first trailer and I had no idea workers would do such a discourteous thing. Now I cover the toilet with cellophane wrap and place a sign on the toilet whenever I leave it for even a few hours.

Activated charcoal... buy a box or 2 at Wartmart... or your favorite tropical fish store.. sprinkle all over the floor.. leave roof vents SLIGHTly open.. just not sealed..
Vacuum up the charcoal and discard in a garden.. it's natural.. don't put in sewer.
If the smell is chemical or otherwise, that has been effective for us...
Dry stuff don't usually stink... depends on the actual smell you are having, that worked for us with an electrical burn smell and other 'storage' smell things..
