Hello Mickey -- There were manufacturer labels riveted to the curbside just forward of the door. Numbers there would signify model, year, length and a few other details. The principal length determination is bumper to ball -- measure that length as close as you can -- feet and odd inches is okay.
The same serial number is usually embossed on the A-frame curbside in the area below the propane tanks. It's often covered by old weight distribution gear.

Shouldn't the title also have the original numbers?

What numbers are you asking about? If they are the big red numbers you see on some Airstreams...those are WBCCI membership numbers. Not all of us have them. Yet.

If you want to have those big red numbers it will cost you $65 to join the club. You will get a lot more than just numbers if you participate. If you do not want to join the club, you can just buy a set of red vinyl numbers at the local hardware store and you will not be bothered by club members bothering you to sign up. If you want the nice blue numbers, you can pay this site to become a supporting member and they will send you a set.

The cost of WBCCI membership varies with the unit you join. It is $55 plus what the local unit charges. My unit (4CU) charges $1 which makes the total cost $56.
If you become a supporting member of this forum you will get a set of forum decals, but no numbers.
Your Forums Air number is 23425...

The Air stickers you will get if you give a token donation to the forums. That token amount also makes you a supporting member of the forums. I don't think blue numbers are issued by the forums. If they are it is news to me! However, you can purchase some from a forums member who makes them for sale. I'm sure a moderator here will be glad to post the info on contributions and the Blue number seller/member. You can also look on the forums tab and scroll down to the forum page dealing with Donations that Andy R. (administrator) has posted and all the info for donations is in that post. Then you can order your blue numbers that represents your member number that you were issued when you joined the forums. There is no charge to belong to the forums but a donation helps to defry the cost of maintaining and upgrading the website for all of us to use. Someone in a previous post listed your member number. It is 23425 Hope this help... Happy Trails, Ed
