Nor Cal-1966 Safari-Looking for Airstream Mechanic

Hello -
We recently brought home a 1966 Safari. It was renovated in 2004, with light use from 2005 - 2011.

Would appreciate any referrals on airstream mechanic who can inspect the trailer and give advice, opinion, and repair as needed. Would like to check out plumbing, electrical, mechanical.

The overall condition is very good, apparently, but who knows! Looking forward to a short road trip in April, so please contact me soon.

get a local guy to pack the bearings and check brakes then take it to andy at inland , you'll read his posts here aften enough and he knows as much or more than anybody . not all that far from you.

Vinnie has done wonderful work for me, and has taught me a lot about Airstreams. He really knows his stuff and he's the nicest guy you'd ever meet. I don't know what I'd do without him!

Airstream dealers have Airstream parts.

Other dealers who might have a few Airstream parts, must charge a higher price, since they cannot purchase parts from the Airstream factory.

When bearings are repacked, it's very wise to also replace the grease seals.
