Noise coming from wheels

We have a 2012 Flying Cloud with electric brakes. The controller is a Hensley. Several months ago my husband had to harshly apply the brakes. Afterwards there was a sort of dragging sound, almost like a branch being dragged. A visible check of the wheels revealed nothing. We were in a place where we had no choice but to drive on. The noise disappeared and the brakes, ect. seemed to be working fine. Neither the wheels nor the tires were hot. Four weeks ago the same noise occurred; however the noise has not gone away. We have been basically parked since then at One Thousand Trails in the mountains. The nearest repair is Paramount in Reno, approx. 1 hr. We don't want to incur further damage by driving. What should we visually check? Seems to be on the right side. Help! Neither one of us is very mechanical and we are in the boondocks with a very slow wifi connection. Thank you in advance for any possible advise someone might be able to give.

Pull the hub and inspect the brake assembly. More than likely the hard stop caused a spring to brake or the star wheel to pop out of the shoes.

In any case have a wheel pulled before you drive any longer.

Yes you have driven and the noise went away but loose parts in the brake assembly can come and go and they can cause instant lockup while on the road so have it looked at.

Ask around, most likely there is a mobile repair person in the area who can come to the park and inspect your trailer.
Brakes are common to all travel trailers and not uniqueto Airstreams.
