No brake signal to trailer

Here is what happened:
I forgot to remove the 7 pin connector from the TV before pulling away
This is the problem:
No signal is being sent from the brake controller to the brakes on the AS. The controller shows NC for no connection and AS brakes will not work when using the hand control. The turn signals, tail lights and brake lights all work on the trailer.
What I have done so far:
Stopped at Camping World where they tested the signal coming from the TV and it is working. I also checked the connections in the AS where the cord meets the internal wires of the AS. I am only getting a very weak signal (using a tester not a volt meter) where the light blue wire joins the darker blue brake wires when the brakes are applied.
Question:
Do I need to replace the 7 pin connector cord?

Gary

Gary, The odds are the wire in the trailer side 7pin connector is pulled off. If you have one that you can take apart, you should be able to put it back under the terminal. If it is moulded in one piece, you will probably have to replace it.

Temporarily by-pass the 7-way. Take a jumper and connect the trailer and TV blue brake wires.
