Newbie with a '68 Overlander

I have a 1968 overlander that I have just started to gut and I'm looking for any and all advice. So far I have found water damage around the front window, the fixed windows and the door. My goal is to fix the leaks and go from there.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the 68. I'm a just a little biased but I think 68 was a great year. Feel free to PM me anytime if you run into a problem or have a question about anything. I had several mentors when I restored mine and I could not have done it without them.

Thx twind. I already have a question for you...where should I buy window gaskets from? Also should I be looking for the D shape gasket or the solid square type?

For the water comoing in around your door look at Vintage Trailer Supply or Inland RV for new door gaskets and most importantly, those bolts (looks like phillips screwheads) on your cast aluminum door frame go through the sub floor. Take the time to seal those up. I put new bolts in with sitkaflex221 to seal em up. Also leaks that caused the damage can come from failing rivets, leaking awning bracket or awning rail or the roof vent/fan
