Newbie - need advice on minor fixes

We just bought our first trailer (2007 19' Intl), which we love. Two minor issues on our maiden voyage. The molding/weather stripping (??) on the front rock guard is coming off. . . We used duct tape to keep it from flying off completely. Any suggestions on a good sealant? Also, the fridge works great, but the metal facade slides off whenever we open the door. Not sure how to secure the plastic thingy that holds it in place at the bottom of the door. Any advice?

Now to just get my husband a little more comfortable with the whole hitch thing 😃

If the molding on the rock guard is basically of the "rubber strip" variety then I would get a strong glue, such as a two part epoxy and stick it back on! I'd probably use the same type of glue to secure the bottom panel on the fridge as well. Unless you see any evidence that screws or rivets were originally used to secure that piece in which case I'd try to secure the panel by replicating the original fastener method.

I am also a big fan of 3M double sided, 20 lb, stick 'um tape, available at any big box hardware store. It is marketed for using to stick your mailbox to your house. I generally find a use for a small piece of it on each camping trip.

For sticking rubber to metal, there's not much better than 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive.
