Newbee water pump

I have had two other rv but always used them as park models...never considering a water pump or knowing its purpose.

So in the argosy reno I wonder if I need a water pump in the unit?

What is the purpose of the pump? I thought it would be used to pump water from the water tank, which we have pulled out of the unit.

The water pump is used to pump water from the tank to the fixtures. If you don't have a tank you don't need a pump, however if away from hook ups you will be operating out of jugs..

You may have to block the lines that would have gone to the pump to have a watertight system when hooked up. The pump itself usually has a check valve

The purpose of the water pump is to pump water from the on board fresh water tank to supply the rest of the trailer with fresh water when you are not hooked up to city water.

Thanks for the insight.

I asked a dealer and they indicated it was required hooked to city water or not. I thought it was odd. I knew I needed to ask you guys, the real pros.

Not all campgrounds have facilities, in which case you will want a fresh water tank and a pump.
