New..to me... 1969 Ambassador
Picked up a 1969 Ambassador this morning. Shell is in good shape, frame.. Questionable, unknown of extent of rust damage, but she was towed 30miles with no issues, no rear end separation noted. Going to be doing a full renovation.
Down the road from me I saw on CL that someone is giving away a 1976 Excella 500. Owner states that it is not in towable condition, but pics seem to show a decent shell with intact Windows. I might go have a look to see if it's worth salvaging anything to use on my ambassador. Are any parts interchangeable from the 76 Excella to the 69 ambassador? The owner won't part out wants the whole rig gone, so would have to look into putting her on a flatbed.
