Makes a lot more sense to me to take the AS to the nearest tire shop, and have them balance the wheels. Do it once a year, and eliminate the worries of making sure the Centra-Matic works the way it should.

I am not even sure why we are debating this issue, except for the recent article in Blue Beret. AS started making Nev-R-Lubes standard on Classics in 05 or 06 and optional in other models sometime after that. I've heard of no threads indicating high failure rates with or without Centramatics.

Who out there has had bearing failures with Nev-r-lubes? That is really the indicator of theory vs. practice, isn't it?

The wheels on my trailer were balanced somewhere along the line. The original wheels had corrosion so I asked they be changed under warranty before I picked-up the trailer. I don't know if the factory sent new wheels or new wheels and tires. I took them off planning on taking them to the tire shop to have them balanced, I was pleasantly surprised to find them balanced. I just clear coated them with automotive clear coat and reinstalled.

I didn't read the yellow sticker or the warning on the drum, this picture shows both very clearly, I also turned the centramatic around before reinstalling the wheel.

Dealer told me the wheel were coming from Alcoa.

That may be my fault I was very concerned, but your past statement and this statement were the anecdotal evidence I was hoping to hear, lacking any other study it is the best we can go on and has satisfied me until more conclusive finding can be presented which I don't think will happen as it seems to be a non issue issue.

Blow up of above picture.
