Need Help with Battery Charging on Shore Power

We had an issue with the heat pump tripping out on our 2017 FC 25FB and are waiting for our mid-july appointment at Colonial.

in the meantime, i now have issue charging the batteries through the PD 4655 and it seems to me that there is a fuse or breaker that i can't find.

All AC circuits and appliances run when hooked to shore power.

All DC circuits and equipment run when batteries are charged and switch is set to "use".

However, batteries are not seeing any charging from shore power, and when the switch is set to "store" none of the DC lights work on shore power, and the store-use indicator light which was "always on " when connected to shore power is not lit.

I have the batteries hooked up to a Battery Tender to keep them charged, but have a couple of trips before our Colonial appointment and would like to get the AC and DC working together again.

Is there a fuse or breaker that I need to find that will let the shore power go through to the batteries?

Thanks,
Walt

Hi

1) there is a relay that is driven by the use / store switch. In some cases it is (mis)wired so that the charger is only hooked up in the "store" mode. Check the cables to the relay and see if they match the owners manual or not.

2) The converter may / may not be putting out voltage. A multimeter will tell you if the output goes up when you turn on the breaker that drives the converter. If it does not rise, the converter is not putting out voltage. There are two fuses on the front of the converter that might be an issue.

3) There are a couple of thermal breakers between the battery and converter. Sometimes they do die. They are self reseting so they are buried away behind / under something. Ours are in front under the sofa.

Yes, that's a lot of different directions to go and a lot of things to check ....sorry about that !!
