Looks like something my dad had on his trailers: he always used Reese hitches and I remember a similar setup from when I was a kiddo.

My suggestion FWIW is to use the Reese Dual Cam - that way you have both the weight distribution and an active anti-sway (as opposed to the passive ones that only work on friction). Initial setting up the dual cam does take time, but the results are great. I was lucky in that I had mine adjusted and set up at JC by one of the guys who had worked in the frame shop. He was training a replacement, and I got the benefit of a lesson in setting up the dual cam.

Yes! Ladies and Gentleman, that is a new floor! It has taken what seems like forever to me, to get it in, but we have done it. The other part should go much quicker. I will post the pics real soon. Yippee! Happy Dance!

Woohoo! Yay for new floors!! You're still an inspiration to me. We are about to begin frame & axle work.

Thanks! I had to stop because I had surgery. I am moving slow, so I can't do all I want to do, but not giving up. I just keep moving forward no matter how slow. The axels are at Tom's work and he is delivering them today, so we can finish putting in the floor this weekend.

Most people are Christmas shopping or baking cookies, but we are putting on axles. I forgot to order shocks. Ugh! So ordering those today.

I'm only baking cookies because it's too cold to work on the trailer here!

Am I the only one struggling with the new AS Forum format? I'm not sure it is as user friendly.

Nope, it's horrible for now, wish someone would have done some beta testing before launching this cluster. You are NOT alone!
