Arrow Need Airstream Service Center Recommendation

Please give me your recommendation for an Airstream Service Center.
It's time for my 2 year Airstream checkup before the warranty expires.
I am in San Diego, CA and will travel 100 miles for a good Service Center.

Wheel bearings are not something requiring a specialist. If you can't do it yourself..any automotive shop can. Just watch where they want to jack from. The hub is a standard part any shop can order, and probable has in stock.

One of better "Airstream Authorized Service Only" shops is in LA Area.. Look up C&G Trailer Service in Bellflower (800-662-3790) .. There is also Airstream of LA in San Gabriel, or Inland RV in Corona (may be limiting services and focusing on parts sales..)

Shops

Both C&G ( hail damage) and Inland ( axle and parts )have done good work for me in the past; that said so have the Jackson Center folks too. I have not used either recently.

C&G has been in business 50 years. They only work on Airstreams and are good, honest people. They do all my work or Rod will even tell me how to do it myself when I think I can tackle something.

Need Airstream Service Center Recommendation

C&G is going to pull the plug sometime in the future. Not sure when but it is on the horizon. It will be a great loss for the airstream community. The local San Diego service guy is Abe Hernadez. He is an airstream trained tec, and has his own mobile business and is looking to expand. He is busy, so if you can get his help, you won't be disappointed. He will come to your home or campsite. His contact info is.

I spoke with Rod this morning over at C& G and asked him if he was getting ready to retire. He told me not for several years. He still likes what he does and he doesn't know where people are getting that he is leaving. He and his wife have discussed it and both agreed that they like what they do and will be around for a long time. I like that answer because I have all my work done there. We would really miss them if they left.

I also highly recommend Abe Hernandez. He's very thorough, knowledgable, friendly and fair. He will take great care of you and your rig. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my AS.
He knows that but please tell him I said so.

I'm looking for a spot in or near Austin that does good/great repairs of plumbing at affordable prices. Anyone around the Austin, Tx. area have any experiences and names of service places to share? When I went to go pressurize my system after filling with water I've got a leak somewhere around the shower. Ugh, I fear the cost of this. Help.
