Mystery Water in Bedroom Carpet

Anyone have an idea? We have a 2007 34 Classic w/ queen bed. We are experiencing a wet spot right where the wardrobe touches the carpet on the drivers side. The water gravity fill hose was disconnected ( clamp came loose) and caused water to spill on the fender and roll into the bedroom. We fixed that and we still have a wet spot. We are towing with the fresh water tank full and both dump tanks empty. The wet spot is near the back of the coach and I don't think there is a water line under that part. Also, there is no evidence of leaks on the wall or ceiling. We camped in a monsoon on Thursday night with no roof leaks , etc.

Open for places to look.

Thanks

David

Check that the pressure regulator water entry device is not leaking inside the coach. I'm not familiar with the layout of your coach but ours had the water entry device below the shower stall seat and above the fender and when we used the water heater, the pressure build up caused water to leak out of the back of the device and onto the fender which eventually rolled down and got our bedroom carpet wet on the driver's side of the coach along the wall with the shower.

I bought one from Amazon with overnight shipping and was able to install it from the outside. I don't think I could have fit inside the access panels to repair it from the inside.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Based on the tests that I have been doing, I suspect it has something to do with the water heater. Thanks to your suggestion Over the last couple of days I have let the coach sit with the heater bypassed. First with the pump providing the water pressure and then the city hook up. So far the carpet is staying dry. I am going to ad the water heater back in the mix today and see what happens. How did you see the leak under the shower seat? Mirror or some sort of camera probe? How did you get to it from the outside to repair?

Thanks

David

My water heater inlet was leaking. It caused just a drip but over a few days it soaked the bedroom floor. I removed the inlet tube and used pipe dope to fix the issue.

David,

The best view I had was to remove the heater vent in the bedroom and push the hose aside and look on top of the wheel well with a flashlight. I could also get a view of it through the access panel in the wardrobe. Ours only leaked when the water heater was on so I suspected that the pressure buildup caused the leaks on the back side of the water inlet. Changing that out solved the problem. Good luck.
