Thanks to all the members who have kindly answered my questions. You and the various forums here have made the restoration of my 7.3 Minuet much easier then it otherwise would have been. Much has been completed and more to be done. Painting more frame work and new axles will take me through next spring.
The last item needed to get away were window shields for the curved glass. Didn't care for the price from AS so fabricated my own. They are made from 3 layers of 1/8" bending ply. Darts were cut from the top to about the center as the window has a compound curve and the pw only bends in one direction. They were laminated using the trailer as the mold. Lots of fun that was. After trimming to finished shape and size the exterior surface was covered with a layer of 10 oz glass cloth and poly resin. The interior, or window side surface was coated with epoxy resin to water proof it. The interior surface was then covered with 1/8" dense foam packing material using contact cement. This to act as a cushion. Then primed.
The attachment method was quick dirty and cheap. Something more elegant at a later date. Anxious to get going. Lots of camping and golfing to be done.
If you would like more detailed photos or description of the shields I'll be happy to provide them.
