The Mattress in my 2000 Excella is Horrible!

We just came home from our first shakedown trip for this summer - and I can't take it any more! The mattress has got to go! I believe that we can put up with the size - ours is the center Queen - but I don't want any more of our trips to be an endurance contest. Unfortunately, we do have a King bed at home, and there is a definite re-adjustment required - but it would be a lot easier if the mattress was comfortable. I would like to hear from everyone who has replaced their mattress - or otherwise made changes in this torture rack! For the record, I think that the front couch is more comfortable.

Have you given any thought to adding a couple of inches of memory foam on top of the current mattress?

Oh yeah...memory foam. In my home and our AS, wouldn't be without it.

My wife and I just got a Sleep Comfort bed for our house. We both have back problems. It is the most comfortable bed we have slept in. She adjusts her side I do mine. When I retire I am seriously thinking of getting one for our 2006 Classic 25'. Currently we have memory foam on the Queen bed in the camper. It all depends hwo much a 'good night's sleep' is worth.
