Magic Chef Door Question
How do I release the spring tension on my oven door to get to the screw that holds the door hinge to the cabinet?
Picture shows the screw has backed out and the door droops to a point I can't get a screw driver on it.

Have you tried an offset or ratcheting screwdriver?
We had a Majic Chef in our last trailer and I seem to rember that ther may be a way to disassemble the door - that may allow you to get to the spring tension. Otherwise, you may have to pull the stove out of the cabinet to access other hidden screws.
Bummer...good luck!

Tried that. The unit is slid out a few inches but no access from that side.
I am afraid there is a captive nut in the oven frame for the screw in question. If so it may be a tuffy..

You put two pin in that round hole shown in your picture. Then the door will slide up out of the hinges.

If you mean these holes it doesn't seam to offer any way to remove the door. I have included a picture of the other side of the door and note the spring arm is screwed to the door frame. I don't even see how they made it let alone take it apart.

I had the same oven door mount screw loosen on my trailer several years ago. As I remember I solved the problem by lifting the door at the hinge corner while a helper tightened the screw. If this works for you also check the tightness of the two screws on the bottom of the oven door.

I have been using a Chatman off set screwdriver.
The problem is growing. Looks like the oven body holes have stripped. I tried some sheet metal fillers but need to fix the door in position to remove the spring tension and free up a hand.
Had the over pulled out a few inches but no access from the sides so it is back mounted in place.
