LP Detector in a '76 Overlander?

Hi everyone

Question please. We just bought a 1976 Overlander and it doesnt appear to have a LP detector inside of it or a Carbon Monoxide detector. I know with the CO detector you can get one that runs on batteries. What about the LP Detector? Did they come stock or where do we want to hard wire one in at? Seems strange to me that was not added stock in the beginning. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thx so much!

I have a '59 and I installed separate LP and CO detectors hardwired.

Mount the LP detector at floor level and the CO detector at whatever elevation your nose is while asleep.
