Lots of old Airstreams on SC lot

Don't really know where to put this so perhaps an administrator will send it to the right place.

For years I have been hearing about a Airstream place in South Carolina on I-95 and yesterday I passed it. Could not stop as I was riding with others who wanted to get home.

It is located on I-95 at Exit 141 where one would get off the exit and turn South down frontage road on North Bound side. It is perhaps 1/2 mile from the exit.

I would estimate there was at least 40 and my guess would be most of them were 70s vintage with some older. The majority were 31 footers with two of the smaller ones. Another I would guess to be 50s vintage.

I snapped some pics with cell camera and as soon as I figure out how to download them to computer I could email them to anyone interested.

Hit me with a PM if you would l like to see them.

Sorry did not get a name.

You're right, that is Donmar RV, however many of those "Vintage Airstream's" are actually Vintage Spartans. They look similar, especially at 65 mph, with your head turned sideways

Not familiar with Spartans but it is for sure we were doing 65 MPH (or better).

I understand there is another place on I-95 that has a bunch of Airstreams in a bone yard in SC. Anyone know where that is?

None of the ones I saw looked like they were being parted out.

Very close to there in Florence is where I got my replacement axles.

I travel I-95 extensively between Philly and Jacksonville. The place you saw is DonMar. I have stopped a few times in the past. Felt his pricing on the used units was too high for the amount of work they required. They used to be an Airstream Dealer quite a few years back. The old man that owned it has died, not sure who is running it now. A lot of those Airstreams came up from FL when they closed down one of the AS only parks down there about 6-7 years ago. Ditto the Spartans.

Not sure where the bone yard one is, I have never noticed one. There is an RV salvage yard outside of Greensboro, NC on US 421 that has a lot of Airstreams but he won't part them out, just wants to sell whole units.
