Looking to take unit out for first time, dewinterizing
Ok only time spent in trailer is doing maintenance or washing it. What steps should I take to de winterize. I read manual twice still unsure lol. There are couple valves near plastic tank. Dealer I purchased this used unit spent $450 winterizing.
Either he did a lot of extra work when he winterized the unit or you were grossly overcharged. De-winterizing just means getting the antifreeze out of all of the lines and just entails using a lot of water to flush them completely. If there is a bypass valve on the water heater, they also need to be switched to the summer position. Plugging in the unit to get the battery recharged takes no work. He might have repacked the wheel bearings and adjusted the brakes prior to putting the unit in storage. No steps are necessary in this area to put the unit back into service. If he did not check the bearings, then checking them before you take your first trip is a good safety precaution.

One thought pops into my head as I read this. Be sure to flush the water system of all antifreeze before you re-connect the hot water tank. I'd suggest that you treat the water tank/system to a bleach/water solution as detailed in the manual too. Other than that just be sure to check that everything works. It is better to find faults in systems before you are in need of them....
