Living area fan ??

Here's one picture of the fan area itself. aiming at the knob that raises and lowers the shroud cover...one side came loose the other day, so I climbed up and retrieved these, which had fallen down onto the screen to the side.
I plastic ring sits on top of the lifter on the inside and fits up into its place.
Do these pins/clips go and attach to the very top on the outside? I need verification.

I just looked at mine as I have them out..

If you un-screw the handles you can then pull down on the screen. It just has two clips holding the whole thing up. Just put a screw driver under the metal edge and pop it off.

The clips you have there go around the treaded shaft right after it passes through the metal on the bottom. Once you pop the screen off you will be able to see where they go.. Good luck.

If you need parts let me know I replaced one with a fantastic fan, so I have an extra. the fan motor stops after a few minutes on it though.

I'll go up there this PM and will look. Purman you mean after I unscrew the handles ALONG with the eight screws holding the screen frame in place--THEN I can get up in there. So the clips go right at the bottom inside of the post...I should see something and can push them in to place with a flat head. The top of the treaded post is not what is wanting to stay in place and wondered if there was a clip that goes at the top on the outside also.
