The rims should be zero offset rated at 2600#. Automotive wheels are rated lower.

If you can get the trailer's VIN, a call to the Airstream factory can tell you exactly what sort of wheels it takes, and what is the GVW so you can figure out what tires to put on those wheels. Auto rims are pretty much a no-no on a trailer of any sort, Airstreams included. Pretty much any large trailer supply shop or Airstream dealer then can come up with wheels and/or tires or whatever else you need ... brake inspection / repair / adjustment? Bearings / seals? Electrical / brake hookup? etc.

None of the above.

Different years and different lengths, use different wheels.

What year and length are you picking up?

Steel wheels can be bought from most any one dealing in trailer stuff.

They wheels on most Airstreams are 6 bolts on a 5.5? inch circle

The rims off older chevy 1/2 ton 4 wheel drive trucks are the right bolt pattern but the center hole is slightly small. Some of the drums have little "nubbins". The center of the rim can be heated at these points and hit with a hammer to expand it enough to go on.

That being said it really isn't worth the work.
The steel 6 bolt wheels you see on most trailers shouldn't cost more than 40 bucks each. They are marked 15x6 JJ and usually weight rated for 2600 lbs or so.
