Lightbulb in Oven...

There has been a lightbulb in my oven...think I removed it some time ago but...It has never seemed to work when depressing the button out front. Anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

good question! I have the same problem with my 78. I've checked and there's power hooked up in the back, but I haven't put a meter on the bulb housing. It's never REALLY bothered me so I haven't done any more research into the matter.

Could it be the light switch? I have the same problem on my 1979 Trade Wind.

That bulb is 12 volts DC, not city power.

If you use a city power bulb (120 volts) it will never light up on 12 volts.

D'oh! Makes perfect sense. I haven't tried a 12V bulb. Wow, hahaha. I even knew that it was 12V wiring and it never occured to me.
