Light fixture in shower

Hi guys, just returned from a trip out to New Mexico and Colorado roughly 2400 miles towed and had a minor issue with the inside shower light fixture screws coming out of the ceiling fiberglass shower. I reinserted them and snugged them up again with a screwdriver making sure not to over tighten and crack the fiberglass but it appears the holes are a tad too big. Any suggestions on how to snug them up in the ceiling without cracking the shower? Thanks in advance!

Can't you just go to a slightly larger SS screw? Take one of the current ones to Lowes or Home Depot and match it to the SS screws they have in stock.

If that isn't a solution, contact Airstream and see what they say.

Once the screw pulls thru, you will need to go to the next size up.. or, find a way to refill the hole and move the light slightly off to one side in new hole..

Another option.. but a lot more work... get a large hole syringe.. they have them at Tractor Supply in Vet area..

Then make up some regular epoxy... put in the syringe and squirt the epoxy thru the hole.. then cover the hole with tape.. let it set up... twice the time they recommend.. for the temperature.. keep some of the epoxy as a sample to check curing...then redrill carefully.

Thanks for the replies guys. I suppose I could also just reinsert the screws and apply some clear silicone around housing to the ceiling shower. I had a prior sob trailer before that kept losing running light lens covers that were only popped in place. Once I siliconed them problem was resolved.

The larger screws make the most sense. Use stainless steel screws. I would buy several sizes to see which fits the best and holds tight.

I'm not a big fan of trying to center a hole as you drill through epoxy. Most of the time it will just break away or force your drill offline. Using a baby powder mix of epoxy would help this, but now we're getting into a big project and possible a mess on the floor.
