Led ceiling lights stopped working

The led ceiling lights in the rear of my 2018 25ft Flying Cloud have stopped working.
All fuses have been checked and are ok.
Any suggestions before returning to dealer?

Are the wires connected at the back side of the fuse panel? (Are you getting 12 volts at the lights?)

I removed the light switch and found an inline fuse inside the wall. I replaced the blowed fuse and now the lights work.

Similar Issue - Rear Bedroom Overhead Lights on Dimmer not working.

I'm curious where you found the inline fuse. Our dimmer & on / off switch is mounted on the wardrobe (Serenity 30BRT).

Thanks.

remove the trim(pop it off) maybe finger nails or carefully with a tool...

3 or 4 screws underneath the trim. gently pull wires out...inline fuse holder there...blade automotive type...
10 amp. I think...

Same issue here. I also replaced the fuse however it popped. I'm going to begin removing LED fixtures and testing for a short.

After several blown fuses I found the round head screw next to light switch that holds the cabinet in place was rubbing against the light /dimmer switch causing a short. I removed the screw, counter sunk the hole, replaced the round head screw with a flat head. Now the metal screw cannot touch the switch and cause a short. I also replaced the switch.

Dropped all the lights. Did not find a short. Traced the power leds from the dimmer and find nothing unusual.

Hmmm

Too Tall, our issue still remains a mystery. Initially we suspected a worn wire (purple or white) maybe grounding out between panels. Or maybe a missing grommet. We bench tested the lights with the switch and all was fine. After replacing the dimmer switch several times, the thing started behaving and has worked steadily for a year. It is still an unsolved mystery.

The 3rd switch was the charm?

That is helpful. My issue does not appear to be poor ground or a short OR a bad fixture. For $40 I'm going to order a replacement dimmer so that I have one to test against and a potential fix.

For others reading, I believe this is the correct part:

Fingers crossed, it's solved. I installed the (above) listed replacement dimmer and downgraded the fuse to 6.5 amp and the lights are on for the last 3 hrs.
Bad dimmer!!!

So to restart this thread... we have a 2014 FC25FB twin... had the bedroom lights fail on our trip from NJ to Vermont and my wife found this thread with her Google fu. This morning I pulled the switch as recommended and found that the white wire going to the lights was missing. Pulled right out of the barrel crimp. So now when I get home I’ll use my flexible inspection camera and see if I can find it and fish it out to re-connect. Five years and about 15,000 miles of trips and it decides to pull now... strange but hopefully I don’t have to take too many things apart. It’s in the small wall cavity between the roadside bed and the shower...

2018 Serenity. Bedroom ceilings lights stopped working. Fuse good. Cant believe it would be a short. I am hoping it is the switch. Any thoughts?

It's worth a try for sure. Unfortunately. we went through a couple of switches. But, try a new fuse anyway. Sometimes they look fine, but are not. You could luck out!

S,

My initial experience was that my switch/ fuse was blowing. I Then suspected the ground at the frame >front curbside. There was corrosion and I cleaned that up. The switch worked for a week, then stopped again. I had a electrician/ RV guy look into it. He removed the lights and switch, then bench tested the lights. They worked fine. But back in the rig, they failed to work. I tried 2 brand new dimmers, they did not work either.

I had scheduled some work for other modifications at Ultimate Airstreams in the Portland area. That work involved the removal of the main power converter and fuse panel. I asked them to troubleshoot the light issue while they had the rig. They put in a new switch and boom, it worked.

So, to sum up, the third switch worked and perhaps the issue was fixed when the techs pulled the power center and put it back in. I am not sure if you have a 27 FB, but I do have the wiring schematics for the 2015 27 FB and can email them to you, send a private message to me. The wire is purple and runs past the water pump and under the shower, then up the wall to the switch.

Are you still under warranty?

That's all I know.

Good Luck

Jeffrey
