Leaking A/C

Any suggestions on how best to address a leak around the base of the A/C? I have a 73 Argosy with what may...or may not be...an original A/C roof unit. There is no shroud on it.

I have never had an issue with light to moderate rain, but when it rains heavily, there is a fairly steady drip from the unit into the cabin. Yesterday while getting some much-needed rain in Georgia, I had a substantial leak and took the interior base off the unit. to try to discover the source. The water appears to be coming in around the bottom of what I assume is some sort of rubber seal (not coming in through the air flow tunnel or the actual unit) Should I seal inside around the existing seal, or attempt to remove the entire unit and reseal or try to seal from the roof?

The A/C works great.

Thank you in advance.

The A/C unit has a foam seal between the unit and the roof of the trailer. To replace that seal the A/C unit has to be lifted off the trailer. Not a big deal, but more than one handyman can do at home.
