The previous owner never heard of aluminum or stainless steel. Every fastener he used was zinc plated steel. That is why you have that beautiful brown patina on everything.

Don' t lose sight of your goals. I have seen to many gutted airstreams where the owners started and gave up only to be listed to be sold. If you start something finish it. If you are going to do it, then do it right or don't do it at all.

On the other hand I saw a gutted airstream for $1800. Tempting. The possiblities.
